Travel Agency Classification Plaque, Canary Islands (CN24)

The CN24 distintivo (the official classification plaque) identifies travel agencies in the Canary Islands: the tourism intermediary that sells or organises package holidays and linked travel services from premises open to the public. It must be displayed on the premises to prove registered agency status.

Regulations

Decreto 50/2011, of 8 April (BOC No. 81, the Canary Islands official gazette), regulates the design of the CN24 plaque and requires it to be fixed in a visible spot on the premises, next to the entrance. Tourism intermediation in the Canary Islands, and the distinction between a travel agency and an intermediador turístico (tourism intermediary), is governed by Decreto 89/2010, of 22 July, as updated by Decreto 362/2023; the travel agency is the tourism intermediary that has premises open to the public and sells package holidays.

Ordering and delivery

It is made to order and shipped to any island in the Canaries. Being a personalised product, it does not carry a 14-day right of withdrawal (article 103.c LGDCU, Spain’s General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users); a manufacturing defect is replaced free of charge, per shipping and returns.
