5-Star Apartment Classification Plaque, Canary Islands (CN03)

The CN03 distintivo (the official classification plaque) identifies tourist apartments in the top category, 5 stars, in the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands. It certifies to guests and the tourism authorities that the establishment has obtained this classification, and it must be displayed on the outside of the building.

Regulations

Decreto 50/2011, of 8 April (BOC no. 81), sets the official design and the obligation to display the CN03 plaque at the main entrance, visible from outside. Star classification for tourist apartments is governed by Decreto 142/2010, of 4 October, the Regulation of Tourist Accommodation Activity in the Canary Islands, which distinguishes this non-hotel category from a Vivienda Vacacional (VV — registered holiday let) by its professional management.
