Online Printing Canary Islands
Yes, you can order your printed material from any island in the Canaries without ever setting foot in a physical shop: you send us your file or ask us to design it, we agree a digital proof with you, we print in Gran Canaria and deliver to your door. Publink is an online print shop based in the south of Gran Canaria, and we work this way with customers in Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro. The whole process (quote, file, proof and approval) happens by email, phone or contact form; no appointment or travel is needed to place an order.
- No customs, no surprises
- Delivery across the Canary Islands
- Fixed price agreed before production
How ordering from our online print shop works
The process is the same whether you’re in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Santa Cruz de Tenerife or on any other island. There’s no physical shop to walk into: the whole order, from first contact to final approval, is handled online.
1. You tell us about your project
Get in touch by email, phone or the contact form with what you need printed, the quantity and the deadline. If you already have a finished design, send it over; if not, our design team will put it together with you.
2. We check it and send you a proof
We check that the file is print-ready and send you a digital proof in PDF. You approve it or ask for changes before anything goes to press.
3. We produce it and get it to you
Once the proof is approved, we print it in Gran Canaria and ship it by Correos to your island.
The only lead time we give up front is for personalised T-shirts: 72 working hours for up to 49 units and up to 7 working days from 50 units, almost always completed in around 96 working hours. We only count workshop days, so a weekend order goes into production on the next working day, usually Monday. For everything else (cards, flyers, banners, signage, laser engraving) the lead time depends on the product and quantity, so we confirm it with your quote rather than giving you a generic figure.
Coverage across all seven islands
We work with customers on all seven islands equally. What changes from one to another isn’t how we produce your order, but how long the parcel takes to arrive once it leaves the workshop:
The destination doesn’t change the quality or the process: the digital proof, the machinery and the colour control are the same for an order heading to Arrecife as for one staying in Mogán.
How to prepare your file for printing
The better prepared your file arrives, the fewer rounds the digital proof needs and the sooner your order goes out. These are the rules we work to in the workshop:
If your file doesn’t quite match one of these points, we won’t simply reject it: we’ll flag it during the initial review and tell you what to fix, or adjust it ourselves if it’s a minor change.
The digital proof before production
Before anything goes to press, we send you a digital proof in PDF showing exactly how the text, colour and layout will come out. You review it and give us the go-ahead, or ask for whatever changes are needed; production doesn’t start until you approve it. This proof takes the place of seeing the material in person before you buy: you can’t touch it at a counter, but you can check calmly that the design, text and measurements are correct before it’s printed. If the proof has an error on our side (a colour set wrong, an incorrect cut) we fix it and reprint at no cost; if the error was already in the approved file, we’ll still flag it to you — which is exactly why we ask you to review the proof carefully before giving your approval.
What you can order from our online print shop
From this digital print shop you can order practically all the printed material a business or personal project needs, whichever island you’re on:
You can see the full catalogue, with all variants and finishes, in our online shop.
Design on screen with the 3D configurator
For T-shirts, mugs and stickers you don’t need to send us a finished file: our online designer lets you place text and images on a 3D view of the product, see the result in real time and order it directly from there. It’s handy if you want something simple without opening a design program, or want to see how your logo looks on the actual garment first. For T-shirts, bear in mind that the print area has a maximum width: 30 cm on the back, 28 cm on the chest and 9 cm on each sleeve; the designer will warn you if your design goes beyond that.
Inter-island delivery
We ship with Correos to all seven islands: Standard Parcel from €6.50 and Registered Post from €8.00, with the material packaged so the inter-island journey (by boat or plane) doesn’t damage it. That shipping cost is added on top of the production lead time, not instead of it: the order is produced first and then it travels. Full rates and lead times at delivery and returns.
Why order from a Canary Islands print shop rather than one on the mainland
When you order from a mainland print shop, your order has to cross the Atlantic before it arrives, adding transit days that nobody in the Canary Islands controls and that get added to the production lead time. With a workshop in Gran Canaria, that crossing disappears: the material travels between islands, not between continents, so shipping is shorter and more predictable. You also avoid the small print around IGIC: many mainland shops apply VAT by default and the difference then has to be sorted out, whereas here IGIC is handled correctly from the very first quote, with no invoices to redo. And if something isn’t quite right, there’s someone at the other end of the phone, in the same time zone, who knows your order and can put it right.
Frequently asked questions
Can I order from the online print shop if I live on an island other than Gran Canaria?
Yes. We ship to all 7 Canary Islands: Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro. The whole process, from sending your file to approving the proof, happens by email, phone or contact form.
How long will my order take to arrive?
For T-shirts, production takes 72 working hours for up to 49 units and up to 7 working days from 50 units, almost always completed in around 96 working hours; we only count workshop days. For other products, we confirm the lead time with your quote. In both cases, shipping by Correos to your island is added on top of that production time.
Can I see a proof before it’s printed?
We always send a digital proof in PDF for your approval before starting production, whether you order from Gran Canaria or from any other island.
What file formats do you accept?
PDF, AI, EPS, PNG, JPG and TIFF. A PDF with 3 mm bleed, CMYK colours and text converted to outlines needs the fewest adjustments.
Why isn’t the printed colour identical to what I see on screen?
Screens use RGB and printing uses CMYK, two different ways of generating colour; that’s why a very vivid tone on screen can look a little softer on paper. It’s a physical difference in the process, not a printing fault, and the digital proof helps you anticipate it.
Is there a minimum quantity to order?
Because we work with digital printing, we don’t need plates or a large minimum run, so you can order small quantities without the per-unit cost shooting up. The exact minimum quantity depends on the product and we’ll tell you in the quote.
I don’t have a design — can you make one for me?
Yes. If you don’t have a file ready, our graphic design team will prepare one from your brand, your text and your images, and we’ll also show you a digital proof before printing.
Can I get an invoice with IGIC for my company?
Yes, we invoice with IGIC in the name of your company or as a sole trader; just give us your tax details when you confirm the order.
If you have any questions about your file or your order before confirming it, get in touch through our contact page and we’ll get back to you with a quote and the exact lead time for your island.
