Hotel Rural Classification Plaque, Canary Islands (CN18)

The CN18 distintivo (the official classification plaque) applies to hoteles rurales (rural hotels) in the Canary Islands, the hotel category intended for buildings in the archipelago’s rural areas. The owner must display the plaque outside to prove this official classification.

Regulations

Decreto 50/2011, of 8 April (BOC No. 81, the Canary Islands official gazette), sets the design of the CN18 plaque and requires it to be fixed to the façade, next to the main entrance, visible from the street. The hotel rural category, together with the hotel, the hotel urbano and the hotel emblemático, forms part of the hotel classification under Decreto 142/2010, of 4 October, the Reglamento de la Actividad Turística de Alojamiento de Canarias (the Canary Islands Tourist Accommodation Activity Regulation).

Ordering and delivery

It is made to order and shipped to any island in the Canaries. Being a personalised product, it does not carry a 14-day right of withdrawal (article 103.c LGDCU, Spain’s General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users); a manufacturing defect is replaced free of charge, per shipping and returns.
