About this product
The CN02 distintivo (the official classification plaque) applies to tourist apartments classified in the 4-star category in the Canary Islands. As with other professionally managed extra-hotel establishments, the owner must display this plaque to prove the category assigned by the cabildo insular (island council).
Regulations
The model, size and content of the CN02 plaque are set out in Decreto 50/2011, of 8 April (BOC No. 81, the Canary Islands official gazette), on classification plaques for tourism establishments in the Canary Islands. The 4-star category is awarded under Decreto 142/2010, of 4 October, which regulates tourist accommodation activity across the archipelago. The plaque is fixed outside, next to the main entrance, visible from the building’s access, reproducing the official design without alteration.
