Casa Emblemática Classification Plaque, Canary Islands (CN19)

The CN19 distintivo (the official classification plaque) identifies casas emblemáticas (heritage houses) in the Canary Islands, the extra-hotel category reserved for homes of recognised heritage or architectural value. The owner must display the plaque outside the property to prove this classification.

Regulations

Decreto 50/2011, of 8 April (BOC No. 81, the Canary Islands official gazette), sets the design of the CN19 plaque and requires it to be fixed next to the main entrance, visible from the property’s access. The casa emblemática category was introduced by Decreto 142/2010, of 4 October, the Reglamento de la Actividad Turística de Alojamiento (the Tourist Accommodation Activity Regulation), which replaced the earlier rural-tourism regime to showcase distinctive buildings that form part of Canarian heritage.

Ordering and delivery

Being a personalised product, it does not carry a 14-day right of withdrawal (article 103.c LGDCU, Spain’s General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users); a manufacturing defect is replaced free of charge, per shipping and returns.
